The journey to insight, starts with four steps

At Mindhive we're fond of a good saying - around the office, you hear pearls like ‘the smartest person in the room is the one who looks beyond it’ or ‘if you want to launch big ships you have to go where the water is deep’.

They may sound corny, but they sum up what we're about. For us, the Mindhive community is effectively an ocean of insight into which our members can cast their net wider and deeper – helping them to launch the big ships or innovations.

But where to start? Butchering of a great quote aside... the title says it all. For Mindhive's premium members, the opportunity to find fresh insight is only ever four steps away.

How to create your Mindhive account

Dive in on Mindhive

1. Dive in

Your first question on Mindhive doesn't have to be a game-changer. Invite a small group to a private discussion and get everyone confident in the pool before you hit the ocean.

At Mindhive we launch 2–3 discussions a week, using it for everything from internal strategic workshops to small, private discussions on projects or ideas.

Rally Your Team on Mindhive

2. Rally your team

Like any facilitation, a space that makes people feel welcome and valued will lead to open, interesting and insightful discussions. Be active and attentive, get the buy-in of your team and/or key contributors.

For large discussions, share the load. Assign 1-2 extra facilitators and make sure everyone knows their role in its success.

Break the Ice on Mindhive

3. Break the ice

Silence can be deafening.

Kickstart the conversation by putting up a starter post. That way when your network arrives they have something to sink their teeth into. If applicable, get your team, or key contributors, to add one as well - the more entry points into the discussion - the better.

Spread the Word on Mindhive

4. Spread the word

The final and most important step – build your ocean. Engage your network, ask them to participate and spread the word for you. Invite groups easily with our bulk uploading service, or target key contacts by manually adding their emails in the admin centre. Don't forget to add a wild card or 20 from the Mindhive community.

Then think bigger. Promote to clients, members or subscribers via your email newsletter, post to your followers on social media. Think big – more (really is) the merrier, when it comes to collective intelligence. We all benefit the larger the community we have to answer our questions.
